This MOOC offers a step-by-step introduction to the field of cultural heritage and its relationship with education, covering everything from fundamental and essential concepts to their practical application in real-world contexts, particularly in relation to the UNESCO site of the Monasteries of Suso and Yuso in San Millán de la Cogolla (La Rioja). 

The course places particular emphasis on heritage education as a tool for engaging communities — particularly young people — in the appreciation, protection and promotion of heritage. Through examples, case studies and digital resources, the aim is for participants in the KA153 project to acquire essential knowledge, find inspiration to design their own workshops or activities within the project, and share experiences that enrich collective learning.

Furthermore, the course is aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme, incorporating cross-cutting approaches related to inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, sustainability and active participation in society. 

These aspects will be explored throughout the various modules as key principles of heritage education, with a view to developing activities that are more accessible, innovative, responsible and relevant to today’s challenges.
